MS Ireland have launched their May 50k campaign 2023, a global fitness and fundraising challenge to raise money for MS research worldwide and also support MS Ireland projects and services.
MS Ireland is calling on participants of all ages and abilities to take up the month-long challenge in the run up to World MS Day on 30th May.
The premise is simple, walk, roll or run 50 kilometres (or more!) during the month of May in return for sponsorship.
Take part on your own, create a family team or get your workplace involved. It’s a virtual event and can be done anywhere. Clock those kilometres on the way into work, around your garden or in the supermarket – it all counts!
MS Ireland have teamed up, for a third year with the MSIF, and MS Societies from Canada, The Netherlands, Germany and the UK to Leave MS where it belongs, behind us.
The money fundraised helps support people affected by MS around the world including Ireland, alongside funding life-changing research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis.
Every step you take, every kilometre you clock, helps people get access to the treatment they need and takes us closer to finding a cure for MS. There are over 9,000 people in Ireland living with multiple sclerosis.
30% of all funds raised go towards funding life-changing MS Research and 70% goes to local services and supports in Ireland.
Sign up and receive your first donation to receive a May 50k T-shirt. It’s important that we stay fit and healthy by looking after our physical and mental well-being. The May 50K is a great way to combine the two!
All fundraising is done through our website www.themay50k.ie where you can log your KM’s hook up to your fitness devices and blog your way through the month.
