Council prepares list of the top 10 things for US President to do when visiting Louth

With momentum building ahead of the arrival of US President Joe Biden to Ireland next week, lobbying is at fever pitch on both sides of the Atlantic to attract the President to visit various locations in “The Wee County”.

In the hope that he will visit his ancestral home in Louth during the stay, Louth County Council and visitlouth.ie have compiled a list of the ‘Top 10 things for President Joe Biden to do on a visit to Louth’

They point out that President Biden is the only person who holds the ‘Freedom of Louth’ and his ancestry can be traced back to Whitestown in the picturesque Cooley Peninsula.

During his visit to Ireland as Vice President in 2016,  Biden did not visit Drogheda but he and his family were given a guided tour of Newgrange by the then Manager of Brú na Bóinne, Clare Tuffy which they really enjoyed before heading North to Cooley.

However, this time around the Council has included several locations in Drogheda and South Louth in their list of places to visit and things to do.
