David Leddy and The Drogheda Male Voice Choir will perform a Special Charity Concert, in St Mary’s Church, James’ Street, Drogheda, on Friday the 14th of April at 8pm.
Their Special Guest will be Soprano, Andrea Delaney and Councillor Michelle Hall, Mayor of Drogheda, will Host the concert.
A donation of €20 will be accepted at the door and the entire proceeds will go to the Turkey/Syrian UNICEF Earthquake Disaster Fund.
“Witnessing the terrible consequences of the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria, the lads in the choir felt a need to do something by way of showing our support in some way on behalf of the people of Drogheda to help the victims of this terrible disaster” said the choir’s Musical Director, David Leddy.
“We have been rehearsing intensely during the past few months for a series of recitals we are doing in March and April and also for our trip to Tuscany in May so we unanimously decided to add this charity concert to our schedule.
“Soprano, Andrea Delaney will also join us onstage for the concert and we are delighted that the Mayor, Michelle Hall, will host the evening for us which, we hope, will be an enjoyable way for people to contribute to this deserving cause”.
