Ardee teenager Andrew Wogan signs contract with Drogheda United

Drogheda United goalkeeper Andrew Wogan has committed his future to the club after signing his first professional contract this week.

Seventeen year-old Andrew joined the club at Under 15 level in 2020 from Ardee Celtic.
Andrew progressed through the Drogheda academy teams, playing for both their Under 17 and Under 19 sides in 2021 and 2022, before becoming part of Kevin Doherty’s senior side this season.

2023 has also seen Andrew as part of Kevin Doherty’s senior side, with the teenager featuring in the pre-season Jim Malone Cup, where he made the winning penalty save in the shootout

The former Ardee Celtic star has impressed since breaking into the team in recent weeks and was selected on the League of Ireland Team of the Week for his performance against Shamrock Rovers on Friday.
