This Saturday, September 23, the Northeast Cancer Research and Education Trust (NECRET) and the Northeast Oncology and Haematology Unit will host a conference which promises to be of great interest and support for people living with cancer, their relatives or anyone impacted by the disease.
This free event is taking place from 1.30 pm in the City North Hotel at Gormanston, County Meath. It is a public information and support day for those living with cancer along with family and friends. All are very welcome to attend.
For cancer patients who are in treatment or who have finished treatment, attendees will receive updates on the various types of cancer and also be able to ask questions to a medical oncology specialist panel, as part of an open and relaxed discussion.
Another important part of the day is a Living Better and Wellness Panel Discussion. Facilitated by Advanced Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Summersby, this panel provides a unique and valuable opportunity for attendees to learn very important practical tips for living with cancer, including nutrition, exercise, fatigue and stress management.
The audience is again encouraged and facilitated to ask any questions they may have.Refreshments will be provided and attendees can also avail of complimentary therapy workshops and will be entered into an excellent free prize draw.
