Postal Voters Register open for applications from people with an illness or disability

Louth County Council are advising that registration for postal voters, for electors with an illness or disability is open. 

Electors may apply for entry on to the postal voters list if they are living at home and are unable to go in person to vote at a polling station, due to an illness or a disability.  A PV2 application form is required to apply for the postal voters list. 

Special Voters List 

For electors with an illness or a disability who are living in a nursing home, hospital or similar institution.                                                                                   

Electors can apply for entry onto the special voters list if they live in a nursing home, hospital or similar institution, and are unable to go in person to vote at a polling station due to an illness or disability.  This means that you will be able to vote at your hospital or nursing home on polling day.  An SV1 application form is required to apply for the postal voters list. 

Both application forms can be obtained at all Louth County Council Offices in Dundalk, Drogheda and Ardee, on our website www.louthcoco.ie or on www.checktheregister.ie 

The relevant application should be completed in accordance with the notes included on the form and when completed sent to: The Franchise Section, Louth County Council, County Hall, Millennium Centre, St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth. A91 KFW6.
