Eoghan’s Home Run to end with spectacular final event

 

Eoghan’s Home Run, the hugely successful charitable initiative launched by Eoghan McCabe in 2022 which attracted a huge number of tractors and trucks, is set to conclude with a spectacular final event on December 30, 2023.

This momentous occasion, which started life as a school project, marks the culmination of a two year-long journey aimed at making a lasting impact on the community, benefitting three local charities and improving awareness.

Eoghan’s Home Run had its first outing in January 2022, and has captured the hearts and minds of supporters and participants alike since. Throughout the years, Eoghan and his team have tirelessly worked towards creating positive change, and the final event promises to be a fitting climax to this extraordinary initiative.

The final event will take place at Lannleire Pavillion Centre in Dunleer and registration will commence at 11am. The event will feature a series of activities that celebrate the achievements of Eoghan’s Home Run including, prizes for King & Queen of the road, a Monster Raffle and the main Run event will commence at 1pm.

Eoghan’s Home Run has not only raised awareness for Williams Syndrome Ireland, Ardee Hospice and Drogheda Special Olympics, but it has also garnered widespread community support, with countless individuals and organisations coming together to make a difference through donations. The finale on the 30th December will provide an opportunity for everyone involved to reflect on the impact they have collectively achieved, to date raising upwards of €55,000.

Alongside the fundraising, Eoghan has also received numerous awards for his efforts, including Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Special Recognition Award, the Louth Garda Youth Award 2022, Foróige Youth Entrepreneurship Civic Award, Eoghan has been interviewed by radio channels and for media an in 2023 flew to Austria where he was awarded the bronze award for excellence at the International Entrepreneurship Competition.
