A busy week ahead in the Drogheda area

What's On

The top eight male and female players are invited to compete for the title of King & Queen of the Beach. This tournament will be held at Bettystown Beach for the first time with support from Meath County Council.

There’s lots happening for locals and visitors to the area this week including the European Sandyacht Championships in Laytown, The Skoda Boyne Valley Cycle (1,000 participants - booked out), The Port Beach Triathlon, Bettystown Beach Volleyball, Hip Hop Championships, Vintage Days, Football and lots, lots more.

Pulse Port Beach Triathlon – 750 metre swim, 20 km cycle & 4.8 km run. Starts north of the village of Clogherhead and accessed via the L2244. 11 am

Beach Volleyball – Kings  & Queens of the Beach Competition on Bettystown Beach with Ireland’s top players 11.am – 5 pm

Hill of Slane Tours – From Hill of Slane Car Park at 2 pm

Hunger Strike Commemoration March –Departs Bolton Square at 2.30 pm led by Rising Phoenix Fife Band. Speech at the monument, Grove Hill.

Hurling – Louth Senior Championship semi-final – St Fechins v Knockbridge at The Grove, Castlebellingham 3.45 pm
