Essential upgrade works are scheduled to take place at Staleen Water Treatment Plant from 9am until 3pm Thursday 17 October.
During these works the production capacity at the plant will be slightly reduced but Irish Water do not anticipate any impact on water supply to homes and businesses in South Louth and East Meath as the supply will be supplemented by storage in the reservoirs for the duration of the necessary works.
Irish Water is encouraging customers to conserve water while these essential works are underway and are urging customers to conserve water by; not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and to postpone using dishwashers and washing machines where possible.
Following the completion of the works at the plant it may take a number of hours for normal water supply to resume for all customers.
