Ireland’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Geraldine Byrne Nason, the former Greenhills student who was awarded the freedom of Drogheda in January, is to be the main speaker at an online event at 7.00 pm this evening to celebrate the progress of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Drogheda based Development Perspectives along with Concern Worldwide and Creativity & Change will host the digital event which also marks the 5th anniversary of these Global Goals.
The event, which will be framed around the work of Buddhist scholar and environmental activist Joanna Macy, will discuss Ireland’s contribution, the current situation, and the roadmap for the next 10 years.
