The Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council, local Fine Gael Councillor Sharon Tolan, has announced the provision of two new bus shelters for Duleek village.

“An important issue raised during the recent Local Election Campaign was the lack of basic public transport infrastructure throughout Meath" Cllr. Tolan said.

"Our constituents, our friends and neighbors desperately deserve some small comfort while waiting for bus services and I am delighted to announce that the NTA have agreed to install two new bus shelters for the very busy bus stops adjacent to the Mill Race estate in Duleek.

"I have been working hard for the past ten years with the Transportation Team in Meath County Council to identify locations and deliver as many bus shelters throughout the county as possible.

"Unfortunately, it is not possible to deliver them all in one year, but each year we have managed to secure the commitment from the NTA and we are seeing great progress.  I will keep highlighting all of the popular bus stops until everyone has access to a local bus stop with a shelter.”
