Top talent on stage for Sean’s new show 'One Night Only'

Front Page

Sean Tester's brand-new concert "One Night Only” at the Barbican on Saturday 19th October includes some amazing musicians.

Following on from the huge success of his previous sell-out concert “She’s the One” in February, local singing sensation Seán Tester returns to the stage of the Barbican Centre, William Street on Saturday 19th October with his brand-new concert "One Night Only.”

Well known in Drogheda and the surrounding areas, Seán has gained significant popularity on foot of his many successful solo concerts in recent years. In his new concert, Seán will be performing an eclectic mix of fantastic songs spanning the decades with songs from artists like The Jackson 5, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and Take That to contemporaries such as Westlife, Olly Murs, and so many more.

If you are up for an evening of great music and a good old boogie, then there’s no better place to be! This concert promises to be an evening simply not to be missed. Returning Special Guest is the incredibly talented Claire Regan.

Seán has expanded his band from previous concerts and will be performing for the first time with his 10-piece live band which features some of the best musicians in the country.

On drums will be Gerry Culloty, who has played with artists such as Bonnie Tyler, Paul Carrack and Albert Hammond and features regularly on RTÉ Television.

Paul Moore who plays regularly alongside Van Morrison and other international artists is on electric bass and double bass for the concert while Grammy nominated guitarist Jimmy Smyth also makes a return to Seán’s band for the evening.

On piano and keyboards is the widely acclaimed Musical Director of St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir, Edward Holly and on saxophone is Darren Hatch, a member of the contemporary, classical, and jazz group The Chatham Saxophone Quartet.

On trumpet is Charles Cavanagh, a trumpeter with the Band of An Garda Síochána and the leader of The Charles Cavanagh Band. RTÉ Concert Orchestra musician Michael Marshall completes the brass section on trombone.

Diana Ross had “The Supremes” and now Seán has “The Dreams”. A new addition to Seán’s band, The Dreams are a trio of fabulously talented vocalists, comprised of local singers Fabia and Gabrielle Marsella and Alison Mooney. The collective sound of Seán’s band is sure to be nothing short of breath-taking!

Tickets are €22 and are available by clicking here or at The Barbican Centre and the Westcourt Hotel.
