Three men in court after discovery of burnt out car

The three men arrested as part of Operation Stratus on Friday afternoon 10/05/19 at the North Road, Drogheda have been charged and appeared before a special sitting of Drogheda District Court yesterday, at 6pm.

The three, Robert McGlone (24) of Beechwood Drive, Craig Coyle (20) of Ashleigh Heights and Paul Crosby (24) of Rathmullen Park were accused of setting fire to a stolen car.

They were each charged with possessing a stolen Volkswagen Polo at Ballymakenny Business Park and setting it on fire on 10 May.

Robert McGlone and Craig Coyle were released on their own bail of €200 each to appear again in the district court on 26 July.

The conditions of their bail include that they not contact each other or the third accused Paul Crosby, surrender their passports, sign on at Drogheda Garda Station and provide a mobile phone contact.

Paul Crosby was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear by video link from Cloverhill District Court next Friday.
