Gardaí investigating ongoing criminality in the Drogheda area under Operation Stratus attended the scene of a stolen burnt out car today.
Follow up investigations lead to three men being arrested for criminal damage, one detained in Drogheda Garda Station and two in Dundalk Garda Station.
Reports have been coming in from members of the public of extensive Garda activity in several locations around Drogheda this afternoon and the Garda helicopter has been around the area also.
Drogheda Life responded to a call from a reader who told us that two cars had been rammed at the North Road but, apart from the ensuing traffic jam, we were too late to see much except for two cars being driven off on the back of a transporter truck.
