St Mary's Diocesan School’s Photography Club launched an exhibition of their work on Tuesday last in the Droichead Arts Centre.
Mayor Pio Smith officially opened the exhibition, entitled 'Celebrating Drogheda: Through the lens of St Mary's Diocesan', which runs until 19th April.
Established just three years ago, St Mary's Photography Club has gone from strength to strength and in that time has grown to over 70 members.
With their annual walking tour of Drogheda in Sept, students are encouraged to look for the beauty in their home town and celebrate it through their photography.

Over 100 students, parents and teachers were in attendance at the opening and many expressed their surprise at the high quality of the photos on display and the wide variety of mediums.
Roisin Curtis, the teacher who runs the Photography Club, stressed the importance of using photography as a medium for positive mental health and wellbeing and commended her students on the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm that has gone into bringing them to the exhibition.
She also thanked Droichead Arts Centre for allowing them the opportunity to display their work and celebrate the achievements of the youth of Drogheda.
