Alzheimer's Drogheda have two fundraising events coming up and they would very much appreciate your support. As everyone knows by now they have been fundraising for years to build a Day Care Centre at Greenhills so it is a very worthy cause.
The first event takes place next Friday 16th August in Holcroft Motors, as part of the Fleadh. It’s a showroom session featuring the Triskell Céilí Band, the Savage Family, Westmeath Comhaltas Group, traditional Irish singers and dancers and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all.
The Alzheimer mobile unit will be there from 1pm to 3-30pm so people can come and get advice and help from the Dementia Advisor for Louth Maeve Montgomery . This is a free event but any donations would be very welcome.
The second event is the Alzheimer annual soccer match which takes place on Saturday 31st August in the Drogheda United FC.

Kick off is 6pm and all are welcome to come and support the teams. Thanks to Barry Higgins from the Laurence Centre who has supported Alzheimer's Drogheda for the past five years with this great event.
There will be a raffle in the Laurence Centre on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th August as part of the fundraiser with plenty of fabulous prizes donated by the local shops and friends, including two tickets for the upcoming Chris De Burgh concert. Tickets are 3 for €5.
