Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the under mentioned road to public vehicular traffic travelling in a Southward direction from 15th May 2023 for reasons of public safety.
Carroll’s Village, The Long Walk (L-20011), more commonly known as Griffith Court / The Long Walk, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The extent of the road closure will be from its junction with Church Street (R215) to its junction with The Long Walk (L20016) at Carroll’s Village.

The attached diversion route will be put in place.
Description of Diversion route is as follows:
Alternative southbound approach from the R215 – Travel northwards on Church Street (R215) and Bridge Street (R215) to the junction of Bridge Street (R215) and the Castletown Road (R394).
Turn left onto the Castletown Road (R394) and travel westwards to the junction of the Castletown Road (R394) and Legion Avenue (L20015) leading into McSwiney Street (L20016).
Turn left onto Legion Avenue (L20015) leading into McSwiney Street (L20016) and head southwards to the junction of McSwiney Street (20016) and The Long Walk (L20016).
Turn left onto The Long Walk (L20016) and travel eastwards to the junction of The Long Walk (L20016) and Carroll’s Village, The Long Walk (L20011).
