MMM fighter Ciaran Clarke with Barbican manager Declan Power at the premiere of RELENTLESS which raised €5,000 for SOSAD.
Drogheda MMA hero Ciaran Clarke is hoping to capitalise on his success of 2022 at the Bellator 291 bout with the eagerly awaited 'Battle of the Celts' against Scotland's Keir Harvie on Friday, February 24th and a return to Dublin's 3 Arena.
Clarke is confident he can get the win. "Out of all my professional fights, it's the most footage I could find on someone, which was great” he said.

"I knew a bit about him beforehand, just from the circuit. It’s same weight-class fights in Europe, so I'd imagine I was going to bump into him at some point, so I knew a bit about him. "He's going to go in there to make a statement in Dublin for Bellator, but from what I've seen of him - I'm happy enough".
In December, RELENTLESS, a documentary produced by Jamie Sherry from Manifest Media charting Clarke's rise through the MMA ranks, was premiered at the Barbican Centre in Drogheda with over 300 people in attendance - with all proceeds going to SOSAD.
"Initially, I was 'humming and hawing' about the idea of doing the documentary” said Clarke. “I would be regimental with my preparation, especially coming up to my fight... In the end, it was a great project and Jamie did a brilliant job plus we became great friends in the process."
Manager of the Barbican, local Councillor Declan Power said, "I was delighted to help organise the premiere of RELENTLESS in the Barbican and give it that red carpet treatment.
“The evening was a great success, with the proceeds going to local charity SOSAD. It's a great story of a local lad doing well, and I have no doubt Jamie will have to do a sequel as Ciaran progresses with his career. Ciaran is a gentleman, very modest and a role model for the young people in our community.”
The premiere of RELENTLESS raised over €5,000 for SOSAD to help fund their services in Drogheda. "SOSAD do great work in the community for people who suffer from Mental Health and for families who have lost loved ones through suicide. We were delighted to be able to help in some small way," Concluded Clarke.
Stephanie Hayes from SOSAD Said, “We are delighted to accept this cheque on behalf of SOSAD Ireland. This will go along way to help support our services. I would like to thank Ciaran and the team for raising this for us and wish him the best of luck this year.”
Over 300 fans will pack into buses and make the trek to the capital to see Clarke perform under the bright lights of the 3Arena. "I have fantastic support from my home town. I never underestimate the sacrifices my supporters have to make to follow me. They get me over the line each time," said Clarke.
