Eight Drogheda students have won top prizes in this year’s 65th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
In Category G of the competition, first prize (€400) went to James Moonan (13), a pupil at The Arthouse, Drogheda, for his work entitled 'Old Friends'.
Third prize (€200) in the same category went to Ryan King (9), a pupil at St. Ita's School, Drogheda, for his work entitled 'A Ship's Voyage'.
Other winners from Drogheda, all of whom will receive a Special Merit Award next month, are:

Sadhbh McDonagh (16), from Ballymakenny College
Jacob Finn (12), Lauren Martin (10), and Holly O'Connor (10), all from The Arthouse Drogheda.
Daisy Cuddy (6), from Marymount National School
Zofia Koscielecka (5), from Creative Circle, Drogheda.
Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony next month when all of the 126 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
