The Centra shop at Ballsgrove where the Post Office has been temporarily closed.
People seeking to avail of Post Office services at Hannon’s Centra shop in Ballsgrove have been told that the Post Office outlet in the shop has been temporarily closed as of yesterday and are being redirected to the Post Office in West Street.
The first most customers knew of the closure, which is thought to be Covid-19 related, was when they saw notices in the shop window and also on social media.
The notice reads:
We have been advised by the independent operator of An Post in Centra Ballsgrove that the post office will be CLOSED for the next couple of weeks due to unforeseen circumstances.

Please share this message and pass on the information to your neighbours, thank you and stay safe.
A spokesperson for An post told Drogheda Life that they are doing their best to minimise the disruption for their Ballsgrove customers and are hoping to restore full services in a matter of days rather than weeks.
In the interim he asked for patience from customers who will have to conduct their business in the main Post Office in West Street.
Local people are concerned about having to queue in the already busy main post office but the spokesman said that they were working toward a speedy resolution of the situation at Ballsgove and asked people to be patient and to observe all health protocols.
