Old Drogheda Society invite you to the Five-Bridge Walk

Learn about the bridges of Drogheda at the Old Drogheda Society Walk n Talk on Wednesday, June 12th. 

The Old Drogheda Society Walk n Talks return on Wednesday, June 12th. This Walk n Talk entitled `The Five-Bridge Walk` will begin at Dominic`s Park (The Ramparts), on the western side of the Bridge of Peace and on the south side of the Boyne River.

Community Historian Brendan Matthews will outline in detail various aspects of Drogheda`s history; the events, periods, happenings, times, faces and places that created the building blocks of our storied past.

The walk n talk will proceed down river stopping at Dominic’s bridge, Haymarket bridge, St. Mary`s bridge and terminating at the De Lacy bridge at Scotch Hall.

The walk will begin at Dominic’s Park (the Ramparts) at 7.30pm. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. All welcome to attend. The Walk n Talks will continue throughout the summer.
