Aontú candidate Michael O'Dowd at the count in Dundalk.
The counting of votes continues in Dundalk and after the 13tch count there is still no candidate over the line.
The outcome of that 13th count is on hold, for a while at least, as Aontú candidate Michael O’Dowd has asked for a recheck of his vote which was announced as 2650 which is just six votes short of the number which would allow him reclaim his expenses of over €8,000.
Mr. O’Dowd told Drogheda Life that he had no regrets about standing for Aontú in this election.
“It was a first for us and we have learned some very valuable lessons” he said.
