Newgrange Fine Foods lands huge Aldi deal

Local producer now supplying 140 Aldi stores nationwide with their Newgrange Fresh Soup range

Duleek based food producer Newgrange Fine Foods has just landed one of the biggest contracts of their 20 year history.

They recently signed a deal with the giant supermarket chain Aldi to supply three flavours of their award winning soups, Cream of Vegetable, Tomato & Basil, and Chicken & Vegetable, in Aldi’s 170 branches nationwide.

Speaking about the new contract a delighted Michael Carr said: "We get so many inquiries asking for these soups so it’s great to have a home for them now that is easily available throughout the country.

“Aldi have been very helpful through the whole process and go above and beyond to support Irish businesses.

“The support we get from everyone in our hometown Drogheda is amazing as well, you will never know how much we appreciate it."

The family owned company was founded by Drogheda Locals Ronan Carr and Michael McAllister 20 years ago and now employs more than 15 staff.

The company now produces a wide range of award winning fresh soups, sauces, porridge, and potato products which are all handmade from locally sourced ingredients.
