Councillor Stephen Mckee.
New traffic calming measures, including new traffic islands on the Dublin Road at Stameen, are to be installed before Christmas.
Welcoming the move, East Meath Councillor Stephen McKee (FF) said he was delighted to propose that Meath County Council approve a working partnership with Louth County Council to carry out road safety measures outside Stameen.
“The work will include new traffic islands on the Dublin Road and will be carried out before Christmas” McKee confirmed
“These measures will help not only residents of Stameen get in and out of the estate but also residents of Deepforde, Five Oaks, Beaubec and Grange Rath and will improve overall road safety for everyone.

“I am pleased also that my proposal for a new bus bay between Stameen and Beaubec that I made at yesterday morning's meeting will now be looked at by both Louth and Meath County Councils.”
“I will continue to work hard on behalf of all Dublin Road and Colpe residents to address road safety issues in the area” he concluded.
