Front Page

A new summer festival in Drogheda was announced this week.

Following on from the success of the Drogheda Comedy Festival and the St Patricks Day Festivals earlier this year, the 3-day Boyne Midsummer Festival will take place from Friday June 21st to Sunday June 23rd across the entire town featuring a day-to-night programme with something to suit all audiences.

During the afternoons, Drogheda will burst with family fun including fairground rides, music, petting zoo and vibrant riverside market featuring a special feature from The Cottage Market, in Scotch Hall and on West Street with many activities to keep families entertained.

On the Friday evening, the festival will see a dedicated music stage at Drogheda Port with “The Stowaway Sessions” an intimate performance to kick-off the festival and celebrate the midsummer weekend followed by “Night Moves Midsummer Trad Trail” a late-evening programme of live musicians in pubs and venues throughout the town on each night.

A full festival programme will be announced soon, with lots more surprises to come. To keep up to date festival news and announcements be sure to follow Droichead Arts Centre, Scotch Hall, Drogheda Festivals Louth County Council and Love Drogheda BID on social media.

The Boyne Midsummer Festival is brought to you by Scotch Hall, Drogheda Festivals, Droichead Arts Centre, Love Drogheda BID and Louth County Council with support from Drogheda Tourism Cluster.
