Cllr. Stephen McKee.
Duleek-based Fianna Fáil Councillor Stephen McKee has called on Meath County Council to provide additional funding for works on Main Street, Duleek.
“Meath County Council are completing significant works on Main Street, Duleek” McKee stated.
“These works include road resurfacing, the provision of raised tables for traffic calming, additional disabled parking spaces and the renewal of road markings.
“I lobbied for and supported the funding of these works to help improve our Main Street and Village Green area for all our residents” he said.

“Even so, it is clear that additional traffic calming measures are needed. I have been asking Meath County Council to provide a pedestrian crossing in the area of Londis and the Post Office along with other road safety measures as local residents are very concerned about the speed of traffic and the lack of a safe crossing.”
“I am pleased that following my request, the Council have agreed to review the Lower Main Street area of Duleek and if required, to put in place additional traffic-calming measures once funding becomes available again.
“I will continue to lobby hard on behalf of Duleek residents for action on this as soon as possible” he concluded.
