The cannabis herb seized at a house in Drogheda yesterday.
Gardaí have arrested a man and seized €24,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb during an intelligence led operation in Drogheda.
The operation was conducted by Louth Divisional Drugs Unit based in Drogheda, in conjunction with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs Officers at 11.30am yesterday, Tuesday April 27, 2021.
During the course of a search of a house in Drogheda a package containing 1.2kg of suspected cannabis herb (pending analysis) was seized.
One man, in his early 50s, was arrested at the scene. He has since been charged and released on bail to appear in court at a later date. The search is related to Operation Stratus, which is aimed at disrupting organised crime.
