Front Page

Irish Rail has announced that there will be major disruption to train services today as emergency services attend to an incident on the line at Howth Junction.

In a statement on their web site they said:

Major disruption to Northside DART, Northern Commuter and Enterprise is expected this morning as emergency services attend an incident at Howth Junction in which a person on the line was struck by a train.

Service arrangements:

DART: No DART service between Malahide/Howth and Harmonstown

Northern Commuter: operating between Newry/Dundalk/Drogheda and Malahide only

Note: while Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets, there will be significant pressure on capacity.

Enterprise: bus transfers will operate between Dublin and Drogheda

These arrangements are likely to continue throughout the morning peak.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
