Councillor Fiachra MacRaghnaill.
Drogheda Urban Labour Councillor, Fiachra MacRaghnaill, has called for plans proposed by the Labour Party to Louth County Council to be expedited following a surge of antisocial behaviour in Rathmullen Park.
The Labour infill development proposal for Rathmullen Park, would see housing used to block a problematic gap instead of a wall and would turn the affected area into a cul de sac.
MacRaghnaill says, “I am pleased with the renewed commitment of Louth County Council to progress plans for infill development, first proposed by the Labour Party some years ago, to National tender stage.
"The problems of anti-social behaviour in the Rathmullen Park area are complex and, as highlighted in the Guerin Report, will need multifaceted support from a range of agencies to fully tackle them.”

Councillor MacRaghnaill added that he has been speaking with stakeholders within the community and also with Louth County Council.
“Residents are deeply affected by what has been happening in the area and need this resolved as a matter of urgency” he said.
“The mindless vandalism to a property recently will now hopefully act as catalyst for change and renewal.
“This cannot come soon enough for the decent, hardworking and long suffering residents in the area. I, with my colleagues in the Labour Party, will continue to pursue these issues and ensure they are acted upon.”
