Louth Library Service and LMETB to open Digital Help Hubs

Front Page

Louth County Council Library Service, in collaboration with LMETB, are rolling out drop-in ‘Digital Help Hubs’ to help people experiencing difficulty using their mobile phone and other digital devices.

Members of the public are invited to bring along their digital device whether it is a phone, laptop or tablet and avail of one-to-one tutor support in using their device and supporting digital literacy needs.

Amanda Branigan, Acting County Librarian at Louth County Council, explained: “We are delighted to be partnering with Louth and Meath ETB to deliver these digital skills sessions.

“Public Libraries have a pivotal role in supporting people to meet their digital literacy needs, whether that be help with filling out online forms, sending emails or trying to keep in touch with family through social media.

“Our libraries are trusted welcoming spaces ideal for informal learning.’

This service is free and confidential with no booking required. Visit the Digital Help Hub at the following library branches to get support from a dedicated tutor who is ready to help:

Drogheda Library (041-9876162): Every Monday from 1pm – 4pm

Dundalk Library (042-9353190): Every Monday from 2pm – 5pm

Ardee Library (041-6859023): Every Wednesday 2pm – 4pm

This initiative is part of the Adult Literacy for Life Programme. Contact libraryhelpdesk@louthcoco.ie with any queries.
