Louth County Council have opened the annual Amenity Grant Scheme for 2024, an initiative which underscores the local authority’s commitment to supporting voluntary community groups in County Louth.
The Amenity Grant scheme is now open to groups that actively contribute to the enhancement and development of the local community, with a focus on biodiversity and climate action.
The programme is purposefully designed to offer financial assistance to voluntary community groups involved in planning projects that encourage community participation, development, and environmental sustainability. It further acknowledges the invaluable voluntary work conducted by resident associations, community organisations, Tidy Towns, and environmental groups annually to enhance their surroundings.
For residents' associations, these grants play a pivotal role in contributing towards the annual maintenance costs of open spaces, ensuring that these areas remain well-maintained, accessible, and environmentally sustainable for the community.
