Dabilla - Flying the flag for the Wee County.

By Eoghan Darcy

Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of a music video that is dedicated to the efforts of every single one of us who is feeling Louth and Proud and wants to support the Wee county team over the next few weeks.

Hundreds of people will gather in O'Raghallaighs GAA Drogheda at 4:00pm tomorrow, Saturday 17th May to sing: "Hear the Voices of the Crowd - Stand up and make us proud".

Have you got Louth in your soul? If you do you are invited to The County Grounds tomorrow, Saturday, at 4PM to be part of the biggest band the GAA has ever seen. Meath folk and Dubs need not apply! Wee are small but Wee are mighty!

It’s time to show our boys in Red and White just how proud we are of their success on Sunday and not just them but the whole world how LOUD and Proud you are of what this team has achieved.
This is our opportunity to show how much it means to us and every Louth supporter in the world what it feels like to be Leinster Champions.

We have waited 68 years to take over Croke Park, conquer Meath and finally take The Delaney Cup back over to the best side of The Boyne.

Date:        Saturday 17th May
Location:    O'Raghallaighs GAA Drogheda
Time:        4 to 5pm

People will gather on the pitch of the O'Raghallaighs GAA Drogheda club at 4pm.
At 4:10pm, the music will start playing and an MC will guide the crowd over the very easy to remember song melody and lyrics. Throughout this time until 5pm,several video and audio recordings will be taken. This newly recorded section will then be added to the full song.

For the video it would be great to have representation from each and every one of our clubs arrive with their club jersey on for the verse of the song and then for the chorus switch it for the county jersey and everyone will sing along.

The recording will be added to footage and pictures of every school in Louth and some of our wonderful historical and heritage sites and of course clips of Ger Brennan’s Buachaillí ag imirt peile!!

Just like Sam and the Lads this project is completely voluntary but like everything else if people feel like sponsoring some of the production it would help a great deal with making this day a something we can be proud of and hear reverberating around around the world for every Louth supporter who knows how special it feels.

A huge thanks to Anthony Matthews, Dabilla and Darragh O’Heiligh for giving us a new hope and new dream and a song that makes every Louth fan get Louth and Proud.
