Late-night trains begin this weekend for run-up to Christmas & New Year’s Eve

Commuter tickets and Leap valid on late night services

Late night DART and commuter rail services will operate from Friday 2rd December on the weekends in the run-up to Christmas, and after Dublin’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The services will operate across the DART network, as well as Commuter services to Drogheda, Dundalk, and to Kildare (via the Phoenix Park Tunnel)

The full schedule of DART and Commuter services is as follows for

Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December, Friday 9th & Saturday 10th December, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December and Friday 23rd December

  • 00:30 & 01:30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth
  • 00:30 & 01:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
  • 00:40 & 01:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction toDundalk
  • 00:20 & 02:00 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth
  • 23:50 & 01:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare 

Late night Saturday 31st December (after New Year’s Eve concerts):

  • 01:30 & 02:30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth
  • 01:30 & 02:30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
  • 01:40 & 02:40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction toDundalk
  • 01:20 & 03:00 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth
  • 50 & 02:50 from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare

Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leapcard and buy cash fares for the best value Christmas travel option.  

Furthermore, weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use the services at no extra charge.Late night services will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.
