James Sharkey-Maher who has just launched his first App hired.help
Back in July Drogheda Life brought you the story of James Sharkey-Maher who was so fed up with the daily commute to his IT job in Dublin that he jacked it in to start his own business.
The first project to come from that business is an APP called hired. help! which is now available to download from both the APP Store and Google Play.
“hired. help! Is a community marketplace APP that allows users the chance to sign up, create profiles and either become a Hirer, or a Helper or in fact both with an easy one button switch” James explains.
“Hirers will be able to find, and book skilled helpers for all the odd jobs, tasks, services and advice in one convenient place.

Helpers will create their profiles and become valuable by utilising their skills, knowledge and experience to complete tasks for our hirers.
The APP will look after everything for both parties. Helpers will be pre vetted so that Hirers can relax in the knowledge that they will not be hiring cowboys and Helpers will be able to quote their hourly rates to avoid any misunderstandings about costs.
The app will also look after all the paper work such as invoicing and tax requirements – it will manage the payment process and all information will be documented for users to use in relation to filing taxes etc.
Having launched Hired Help in Louth/Meath James is hoping to take it to the UK in six months’ time followed by Germany and Spain six months later.
"hired. help! Is the one stop shop to #getthingsdone"
