They say that in business if you stand still you’re actually going backwards – it’s a bit like being on a treadmill and that’s something that local business men Brian Browning and Peter (PJ) Moore, of Integral Fitness and Leisure, know a thing or two about.
The pair believe in continuous forward movement – and not just for their hundreds of clients. They have embarked on a major investment programme at their leisure centres in Drogheda and Bettystown and have just completed a major re-vamp of their facilities at the Neptune Bettystown at a cost of €250,000, a clear indication of their confidence in the leisure industry.
Brian and PJ took over the business in Bettystown five years ago and have built up a very loyal membership base there with further growth anticipated.
“Bettystown is a fast developing area and with major growth in population forecast we felt it was essential that we re-vamp a very old and dated facility into a state-of-the-art product” said PJ.
“We have a fantastic team in Bettystown and a very loyal membership so we decided it was high time they got the best” he continued.
The gym has been fitted with the “Pulse” brand of equipment along with the new Pulse move system that tracks all your training straight to your mobile app
Along with a brand new fit-out and fabulous spin studio, Brian and PJ also decided on a total new design of their logo and website
“Our website and logo was very dated and we took the decision to give it an overhaul” said Brian. “We appointed Mor Digital, a local company, for the re-design and I have to say they did a wonderful job.”
After five years in the business Brian and PJ have developed first class facilities with a fantastic team of dedicated professionals and now boast over 40 employees between both centres.
“We took a gamble in this business five years ago and without the team that we built around us it would not have been possible to get this far,” said Brian.
Brian and PJ believe in supporting local where possible and are very proud to have appointed all local business to complete the re vamp resulting in a spend of over €70k going back into the local economy.
Even as they make the announcement of their new image the focus is forward-looking with further development expected in Drogheda next year and the pair are also on the look-out for a third facility along the East Coast.
