Good Thyme Thursdays presents Good Thyme in the Garden, an evening of music and poetry in celebration of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann's arrival in Drogheda.

In a special edition of the renowned monthly series usually run at Good Thyme Café, the event is moving both venue and date for this unique event. The concert will take place on Wednesday 15th August, 8pm, in the beautiful, intimate surroundings of the newly opened Garden of Remembrance on the grounds of the Augustinian Church.
Topping the bill on the night will be Scots-Gaelic singer, Joy Dunlop, conjuring the emotion and power of her native land's music through her spellbinding voice.

The featured guest poet on the night is none other than the legendary Stephen James Smith. Central to the recent rise of Ireland's vibrant spoken word scene, he has been critically acclaimed for his thrilling performances and his many online videos such as 'My Ireland'.

The night will also feature the wonderful original music of UK singer-songwriter Robbie Boyd, the inimitable dynamic musical duo, ‘Short Shorts’, and local traditional group 'Glé-gheal Gáire'.
Admission is free but it is strongly advised to book tickets on eventbrite in order to gain access to the garden. Limited seating will also be provided on a first come, first served basis so get there early!
