The Irish Maritime Festival is primarily about ships but music is always a huge part of the fun and this year is no different.

As in previous years the docks will be rocking to the music from bands and solo performers on two live stages

This year’s line-up on the Ballast Quay Stage includes local favourites Fuzz Gigolo and Declan Garry, returning artists Niall Callan and Davina Brady as well as up and coming talent Katie Gallagher and many more.

Here’s the full Ballast Quay line up for 2018 - hosted by Gerry Hodgers of The Purple Sessions:

It may have escaped your notice but the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is coming to Drogheda in August so there will also be a Fleadh stage at the Maritime that will showcase Trad musicians from across the region.

A very special innovation at the Maritime Festival last year was the Stowaway Sessions which took place on the deck of the Earl of Pembroke Tall Ship. It was a truly special experience – cool sounds, cool drink and good company sitting on the dock of the bay.

The good news is that the Stowaway Sessions are back again this year with The Lost Brothers and Declan O’Rourke headlining on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th June respectively.
