While carrying out an operation linked to the seizure of cannabis valued at €190,000 on Tuesday 29th April, 2025 in Ardee, Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug Unit at Drogheda Garda station found 20 pipe bombs.

During the course of the search, they found twenty pipe bombs. A cordon was established and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene.

The EOD team examined the suspect devices and subsequently made them safe. The devices were removed from the area for further examination and the cordon lifted.

Investigations are ongoing.
