Councillor Stephen McKee.
It has been confirmed to Drogheda and East Meath Councillor Stephen McKee, that funding has been allocated to Meath County Council to install a new footpath between the old Community Centre building and the bus stop opposite Castle Glen in Donacarney.
Welcoming the news, the Fianna Fáil Councillor said: ‘I am pleased to receive confirmation from Meath County Council that funding has been allocated for the provision of a new footpath between the old Community Centre (the red brick old school) and the bus stop across the road from Castle Glen.’
‘I have been lobbying the Council about the need for a footpath at this location over the last few years. This is good news for residents in Donacarney who will soon have a safe, direct path to the bus stop. The Council tell me that the work will be completed in 2023.’
‘I will keep the pressure on to ensure this project is started and completed as soon as possible and I wish to thank Meath County Council for their support on this matter’ concluded McKee.
