Four local Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) athletes are currently preparing to compete at a prestige event coming to Drogheda this December.
Stephen Walsh, Nathan Chambers of Primal BJJ , Martina Jancekova of Vibe BJJ and Maciej Teremak of SBG Drogheda, have all been selected to appear alongside 46 of the best athletes in Ireland and Europe at the Samurai Grappling Invitational taking place in the TLT theatre on December 14th.
The event showcases the best athletes and is headlined by black belts Jorge Santos and Marcos Nardini in a title match, the event itself features a whopping total of 16 black belts and a wide range of athletes with some travelling from as far as Iceland for the chance to become victorious on the Samurai stage.
Support has been phenomenal so far with the event nearly sold out and a large local base will be filling the seats on the night to show their support for the athletes. A limited number of tickets are still available online, see: https://www.facebook.com/samuraigrappling/
