Dunleer murder accused out on bail

Aaron Connolly being led from Drogheda District Court on July 6 after he was charged with the murder of Cameron Reilly on May 26th in Dunleer.

Told to stay out of Dunleer and Drogheda

The teenager accused of murdering 18 year-old Cameron Reilly in Dunleer in May has been remanded on bail pending the preparation of a book of evidence.

As a condition of his bail Aaron Connolly, also aged 18, of Willistown, Drumcar, has been told to stay out of Dunleer and Drogheda.

Connolly has been in custody since July 6th when he was charged with the murder of Cameron Reilly, 18, at Shamrock Hill, Dunleer, Co Louth, on May 26, 2018.

At his second hearing which was at Cloverhill District Court on July 12, he was further remanded in custody

He was still in custody when he faced his second hearing and he was further remanded in custody but has since been granted bail by the High Court.

Under the High Court order, Connolly must stay out of Drogheda and Dunleer and has to sign on daily at Dundalk Garda station.

Connolly will appear again at Dundalk District Court on September 26 next.
