There was an influx of athletes from Duleek A.C. into the townland of Lismullen on Sunday as the club was out in force for the second race of the Supreme Clean Captain's League.
Greg Dixon was first home for the club in 41.17, followed by Fran Power in 42.44. Lorraine Noone was the first lady home and Karen Creed was second home for the club. Despite a few tough uphill climbs Tom Conroy set a PB in 46.25 as did Gerry Murphy.
Lady Captain, Celena Tierney, is leading the way and motivating the troops by example as she PB'd on the course. The training structure has been paying off for Marion Hayden and Angela Woods who both ran superb races on the day.
The scramble for precious league points saw a full turn out from 'Born to Run'. It was a good day at the office for team Swatt with four of the team setting PB's. With the dust settling on the Lismullen 10k the teams are gearing for the third race in the Supreme Clean Captain's League, the Drogheda 10k.

David Doyle is going from strength to strength with a superb performance in the Lismullen 3k road race. The uphill finish didn't deter as David kept to his race plan which fielded a third place finish in a speedy time of 10.32.
David Doyle achieved the holy grail of miles setting a PB in 5.00 minutes at the Irish Runner Magazine Paced Mile at the ALSAA Stadium on April 3rd. The well organised and enjoyable event is a great opportunity for athletes to achieve their mile PB as the pacers take the pressure of timing off.
The streets of Dundalk were alive on Saturday last with hundreds of runners taking part in the Patsy Kelly 5k road race. Shane Reid represented the club in the well run and popular race.
