Front Page

The doors at Droichead Arts Centre might be closed, but the creativity continues and Droichead say they will continue to support artists in the North East Region in the development of their practice and work in 2021.

In a statement issued today they announced that their Droichead Presents Drama programme will support a number of theatre makers in the region. First up this spring are four artists from Louth and East Meath:

Artist in Association | Anthony Kinahan

Our artist in association for 2021, is actor/producer Anthony Kinahan.  Anthony is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, and is an actor/producer with Quintessence Theatre Company.

High Tide | Grainne Rafferty

In 2021, we will produce a new play, HIGH TIDE by actress/writer Grainne Rafferty, directed by Darren Thornton. A ‘Thelma and Louise' adventure set during lockdown, funded by Creative Ireland.

LouthMouth | Juliette Crosbie

Droichead will work with actress and theatre maker Juliette Crosbie to support and fund the development of her new play LouthMouth, with director Bryan Burroughs.
