With the start of the Premier Division of the Airtricity League just a couple of weeks away, newly promoted Drogheda United have teamed up with Drogheda & District Chamber to seek support from the local business community.

They are asking local business to support local and get behind the club this season by availing of a new ‘United10’ offer, which offers a 10% discount on sponsorship packages to all new sponsors if they sign up by Sunday, 14th March.

With an ever-growing social media presence and an average streaming audience of 5,300 for home matches, the Drogs provide a great platform for local businesses to promote themselves both nationally and internationally.

Club Chairman Conor Hoey once again highlighted the importance of community engagement and the focus the club have towards growing and strengthening bonds with the business community.

"At Drogheda United our objective is to build a leading community-based football club that will showcase the historic town of Drogheda and the fantastic businesses in the region. We seek commercial partners who support our ambition to develop Drogheda United as a sustainable club, embedded in the local community, respected by our fans and sponsors.”

"We want our partners, no matter their size, to derive benefit from an association with Drogheda United", Hoey explained. "We offer a national platform to enhance brand awareness for all type of organisations."

The President of Drogheda & District Chamber, Robert Murray, is encouraging all businesses in the region to check out the club’s website.

Businesses want a return on investment. It’s natural. For anyone considering getting behind the club simply go to their website and you’ll see quite quickly how much backing your business will receive being part of their team. Whether it’s a €100 or €10,000 sponsorship, the return benefits for your business are certainly there”.

The Drogs offer a range of sponsorship packages for more information see www.droghedaunited.ie/united10. Follow #United10 on social media for more details.
