The Drogheda Women and Children's Charity (DWCR) is inviting individuals and organisations to support them to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and children in need this Christmas.

“Our annual Christmas Appeal aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for the women and children we serve, allowing them to celebrate the season in a manner that resonates with them” said Susan Keogh, the CEO of Drogheda Women’s & Childrens Refuge.

“At DWCR, we believe in empowering our community to create their own magic during Christmas. This year, we are reaching out to compassionate individuals and organisations, seeking financial donations that will be directly provided to the mothers and ladies associated with our charity.

“These contributions will enable them to shop for their children and families, fostering a sense of independence and joy during the festive season.

“In addition to financial support, we also welcome donations in the form of vouchers. These vouchers will be distributed directly to the mothers, empowering them to curate their own memorable experiences and special moments for their children.

"We recognise the importance of autonomy and empowerment, especially during the holiday season. Our Christmas Appeal is centred around giving the women and children of DWCR the means to create cherished memories with their families."
