The Drogheda LGBTQ support group is organising the first ever Pride Parade in Drogheda this year which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20th July.
“This is our 4th year celebrating Drogheda pride in the community” said Drogheda Pride Manager Peter Nugent. “Previously we have had various events such as variety shows, concerts, family fun day and information days during the Pride weekends.
“There hasn’t been a parade before but, due to popular demand, we now endeavour to provide that for Drogheda this year."
The style of this parade will be a “rolling street parade", starting from Kings Street car park at 12 noon, taking in Williams street, Peters street and Laurence Street then finishing up at Laurence’s gate.

“We would like to invite and encourage you to join our parade on the 20th of July. Your participation and support will be much appreciated by all involved and by all who hoped for this event to occur” Peter concluded.
All participants should reply to Peternugent001@gmail.com before 1st June 2019. Participants in the parade should note that it is a pedestrian parade (no floats or cars) with at least one member of the group/business/company appointed safety marshal.
