The newly established Drogheda Cycling group has welcomed the allocation of €4.6m in funding for several active travel projects in Drogheda town and hinterland.
Chairperson Noel Hogan said “We warmly welcome this initiative which will help to make a positive difference to the lives of people in Drogheda.
“Credit is due to all those who have worked hard to ensure that Drogheda secured funding for these eight projects.
“We are looking forward to seeing the details of each and we hope we will be given the opportunity to make further submissions on these developments.
