Drogheda Creative Writers have organised a poetry reading on Saturday 2nd November at 7pm in Droichead Arts Centre in Barlow House to celebrate the Lu Festival.

All are welcome to this free event and listen to writers and poets read poems and reflections on the myths and legends from Drogheda and the Boyne Valley.

Drogheda Creative Writers meet up in Barlow House on the second and fourth Monday of each month to share their work and provide support and advice to fellow writers and poets on the writing process.

They organise various reading events in collaboration with Just Write and other poetry groups in Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda Library and Highlanes Gallery.

In June, Anne Tannam facilitated a poetry workshop with Drogheda Creative Writers as part of the Poetry Ireland Poet in Residence on Tour with poets from Drogheda and Dundalk in attendance in Droichead Arts Centre.

Full details about Drogheda Creative Writers can be found on their Facebook page or on their website
