For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups.
Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.
The Drogheda Lions Club had a phenomenal response from local primary schools for their recent Peace Poster competition, with the theme being “we are all connected”.
Over 250 entries were received, all of remarkable quality showcasing young artistic talent.

It made for a very difficult decision for the judges, but the winner was Darcie Kerr, who has gone through to the national final and we wish her the very best of luck.
Darcie is a pupil in Aston Village ETNS and was delighted to win. Her parents and principal Dermot McCullen accompanied her on the night.
