The countdown is on for Drogheda’s latest festival-the Boyne Midsummer Festival which will take place over the weekend of June 21st to 23rd featuring a day-to-night programme with something to suit all audiences.
During the afternoons, Drogheda will burst with family fun including fairground rides, music, petting zoo, music, performers, and a vibrant riverside market featuring a special feature from The Cottage Market, in Scotch Hall and on West Street with many activities to keep families entertained.
On the Friday evening, the festival will see a dedicated music stage at Drogheda Port with “The Stowaway Sessions” an intimate performance to kick-off the festival featuring Jerry Fish accompanied by Cian Boylan and supported by SJ McArdle all against the backdrop of the iconic Boyne Viaduct.
“Night Moves Midsummer Trad Trail” a late-evening programme of live musicians in pubs and venues will be throughout the town on each night. But the music doesn’t stop there as the Boyne Midsummer Festival will also see the return of Music at the Gate, under the shadow of Laurences Gate on Saturday 22nd and an evening Busk at Dusk programme that will see a variety of buskers keeping the streets alive with music on Friday 21st supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.

Scotch Hall Shopping Centre are running a colouring competition for the festival with some incredible prizes, there will be workshops, meet and greets as well as DRAWDA Urban Art Trail Mythological guided tours which will also be available on each of the three days.
